Shorties to the front!

After much procrastination, I finally managed to cut down some napping time to blog about this. Cookies for me? Chipsmore only, please.

Ok for starters how many of you are actually okay with your height? If you're about 155 cm or below (girls), yes I'm sorry you're a midget. To those who are 156 cm or taller, your argument is hereby declared forever invalid.

Trust me, I've heard people complain that they're "too tall" and learned never to believe that they're not okay with their height. They're not even "too tall" to begin with. 170 cm for girls is awesome! Stop whining about not being able to find a boyfriend or how you're not able to sit on your boyfriend's lap and whatnnot.

Yes, when people complain about being "too tall", brush them off, or better, show them the middle finger. Do the same to those who claim that their boobs are "too big" (you know who you are) :P

I think the only drawback of being too tall is not being able to wear those incredibly high, high heels or having to bend down a little when entering a tight space, which doesn't happen frequently anyway but I guess that's pretty much it? Being short, on the other hand, can be quite troublesome at times.

Remember those days in school where they have this some sort of conspiracy going on that involves short people being forced to sit front of the class? Or when everyone's gathered to take a class photo and some idiot would suddenly announce, "All the shorties to the front, to the front!" ? or "Yang pendek faham-faham sajalah."

Faham you punya otak lah! Kalau duduk depan ah, muka nampak besar tau. Then yang kat belakang semua posing macam model. Dahlah kalau kat depan kena duduk atas kerusi, habis nampak paha yang tak flattering langsung sebab tiap-tiap hari Ahad makan KFC kat Tesco.

Also, the length of my legs, which is not much, has severely restricted my movement in several ways. I realized this when I was walking back from dinner with my room mate last night. We stumbled upon ten to twenty water-filled potholes because it was still drizzling after a heavy rain.

All there was in my mind was, "asadsfadfsdfadsdadsf" while I tried to walk over the puddles and failed terribly. My room mate, on the other hand, casually lifted one leg after the other across the puddle before she continued her journey in peace. She didn't even realize the pained look on my face.

Roommate.

Me.

Then we have the goddamned height requirements for certain rides in the theme park. Last break, I went to Genting with some friends and realized that to be able to get on a ride (I forgot which), you have to be at least 153 cm! I am *somewhere* that height and was absolutely mortified that I could have had missed out on that ride just because I have "kiddy height". Unspeakable horror.

Reaching up for things. Need I say more? I don't know if I've been really good in hiding the fact that I'm short or that my room mate is somewhat blind. We've been room buddies for two years now but it's only recently that she realized how I need to tip-toe whenever I need to grab something from the hanger by the door, say the towel or a t-shirt.

So she saw what I was doing and went, "Uhm, what are you trying to do?

and I was like, "Trying to get the face towel.

Her reply, "LOLOLOLOL!"

Roomie, t(-.-t)

I don't know when or why but it seems like there's an unwritten rule that short people should stick to short-people sports. So let's say you're my height, *somewhere* around 153cm, and you're interested in playing the basketball for real, don't ever declare it! Unless you have the skills and been playing the sports seriously.

People will think of you as a joke, but yes, it's quite funny if you think about. Can you imagine teaming up with those really tall people? And when you practice all you really do is getting smacked in the face cos' they mistaken you for the ball and kissing your teammate's armpits every now and then?

Perhaps it's actually a good thing that short people should just play short-people sports, say, bowling, swimming or futsal? Any sports that allow you to be as close to the ground as possible.

But in all honesty, it isn't too bad to be a little short. Except when you're attending a concert and all you could see is some dude's sweaty back and hairy armpits. And when you can't find a suitable pair of jeans because you have a 20-year-old's waist and a 15-year-old's height.

Still, it isn't too bad (I think). I've yet to find a good reason to be genuinely happy about my height, but oh well.

P/S:  Finally I've updated! See you in a couple of months!
